On Tuesday morning, the Idaho State Board of Land Commissioners approved funding for the University of Idaho’s planned Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment, or CAFE. That funding includes $6 million for a Minidoka County property and $17.2 million for construction costs for the facility, which would be the largest research dairy in the United States.
