Two years after losing in Districts 15 and 29, Republican challengers have regained control of two of those seats.
After winning reelection by only six votes in 2018, District 15 Sen. Fred Martin has defeated Democratic challenger Rick Just by over 1,200 votes. For seat B in District 15, Republican challenger Codi Galloway has defeated freshman Democratic Rep. Jake Ellis. Galloway appears to have won by just under 1,200 votes.
District 15 will continue to have split representation as incumbent Rep. Steve Berch has won reelection, fighting off a challenge from former Rep. Patrick McDonald by 600 votes.
In District 29, former Rep. Dustin Manwaring appears to have defeated freshman Rep. Chris Abernathy in a rematch from 2018. Manwaring lost that race by 337 votes, but won this year by 800.
Other races we’re watching still have outstanding precincts. Watch for updates Wednesday morning.
